The fourth annual Hempstock festival, held August 19-21 on Harry Brown\u27s farm in Starks, drew at least 15,000 people on August 20, and organizers estimate total attendance at the pro-marijuana event at more than 20,000. The festival was free of arrests, rowdyism, and police or their roadblocks, and around 3,500 signatures were added to petitions sponsored by Maine Vocals for a referendum on legalizing marijuana.
