Evidências Lingüísticas para a Reconstrução de um Nominalizador de Objeto **-Mi- Em Proto-Tupí (Linguistic Evidences for the Reconstruction of a Proto-Tupí Object Nominalizer **-Mi-)

This paper deals with the reconstruction of a Proto-Tupí derivation process by which names of object would be derived from transitive verbs by means of a prefix **-mi-, whose resulting form would have been combined with a marker for mediated possession **-e(p)-. This proposal, developed according to the Historical Comparative Method, is supported by data from seven of the ten families which constitute the Tupí linguistic stock.
