The development of a T cell receptor transgenic mouse would be useful in research concerning the immune response to tumor cells. By producing a line of mice expressing T cells specific for a particular antigen, Simian virus 40 large tumor antigen, would allow us to harvest large numbers of clonal T cells. These T cells would prove useful for future adoptive transfer experiments to consider the role of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells in the immune response to tumor cells.
