Naruto City has been lucky to have consistently good ALTs who have renewed their contracts for multiple-year stays. This article presents the opinions of two of those ALTs. It is hoped that it will provide a window into what some ALTs are thinking. The article is written in casual English rather than academic English to serve this purpose. Hopefully it will be of interest to both local teachers as well as teachers around Japan.departmental bulletin pape
