At the bigenning of the third millennium larger and larger demands and efforts arise on miniaturising of small parts and systems on almost every field of the industry. The transplantation of conventional chip removal processes into the micrometer scale dimensions shows a very promising alternative for the production in small and medium lot sizes. Out of these methods milling offers the most variable machining possibility. During my micromilling researches I tried to find the optimal process parameters for the machining of two different metallic materials with hard metal end mill, and I examined the surface and the geometric quality of the machined structures
