Dengue (pronounced den\u27guee) Fever (DF) and Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF), collectively known as dengue, are mosquito-borne, potentially mortal, flu-like viral diseases that affect humans worldwide. Transmitted to humans by the bite of an infected mosquito, dengue is caused by any one of four serotypes, or antigen-specific viruses.
