The aim of this dissertation is to examine the relevance of theatrical discourse in conjunction with censorship under Franco\u27s regime in Spain. I posit that a particular kind of theater was created, which forms dialogues with the institutionalized censorship of this period. For this purpose, I establish genetic relationships between published texts and censored manuscripts.The enantiomorphism proposed for the analysis follows Iuri Lotman\u27s semiotic postulates on the subject, as I examine particular plays which I claim become non-superimposable mirror images ( enantiomers ) of the society they criticize.
