This thesis focuseson the study, approach and use of old objects in a work of art. The theme was chosen based on an interestin history,and a rich group of artefacts from the last century. The collection consists of everything from kitchenware,to a large collection of hats from various decades.The main objectivehas been to get closer to these old objects, in order to capture some of their essence. Both theoretical and creative processes have been used,in an attempt to understand what they can tell us. The artist / researcher also had a desire to invite the reader / viewer into a carefully curated world of things.Asaresult of this other people mightget more aware of the objects they have around them.
