The Fledgling Flyers were organized 9 March 1951 at Parks College. Its purpose was to further educational and training facilities and to encourage a wider interest in aviation. The club owned its own aircraft, enabling students to fly at the lowest possible cost. Members during the 1953-1954 year were (left to right), First row: Kuhn, Bertles, Wisland, Harvey, Washburn, Anoskey and Gagliano; Second row: Marks, Foote, Hubbell, Jensen, Ingraham, Cox and Acker; Third row: Davis, Sweney, Carroll and Scharlach.
