An important part of the science process is sharing and discussing experimental results and approacheswith peers. Validation of knowledge by experiment replication (each student performing the sameexperiment, then sharing their results) and the opportunity to evaluate the experimental approach applied by others is important according to Domin (2009), which could be achieved through post-lab discussions in the online classroom.
