Universities are knowledge banks for society and incubators for innovation. When disaster strikes a university, knowledge assets may not be fully protected. The proposed Knowledge Vulnerability Assessment framework identifies unprotected knowledge most at-risk during a disaster. This includes individual and group tacit knowledge, adaptations to routines and instrumentation, and collaborative relationships.
