Okullarda Psikolojik Şiddet: Okulda Zorbalığın Artmasında Öğretmen Yeterliklerinin Etkisi

As instructors and role models, teachers play an important role in schools; it therefore matters what values they appreciate and live in school life. However, it can be asked whether teacher culture supports or even models violent behaviour by students. In this study, 223 primary- and secondary-school teachers in northeast Slovenia were surveyed to determine their experience with mobbing. The research showed that mobbing is extensive in schools and that teachers too often ignore it, not being sufficiently aware of their own responsibility for it, nor about the consequences of mobbing for students. In the future, it would be necessary to pay more attention to this problem in schools.Öğretici ve rol model olarak, öğretmenler okulda önemli bir rol üstlenirler; bu sebeple, okul yaşamı içerisinde takdir ettikleri ve yaşadıkları değerler önem kazanmaktadır. Buna rağmen, öğretmen kültürünün öğrencilerin şiddet yanlısı davranışlarını desteklediği ve hatta bunlara model olduğu sorgulanabilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, kuzeydoğu Slovenya’da 223 ilk ve orta dereceli okul öğretmeni zorbalık ile ilgili tecrübelerini belirleyebilmek amacıyla gözlenmiştir. Araştırma zorbalığın okullarda çok yaygın olduğunu ve öğretmenlerin bunu önemsemediğini, bu konudaki sorumluluklarının ve ayrıca öğrenciler için zorbalığın sonuçlarının farkında olmadıklarını göstermiştir. Gelecekte, okullarda bu soruna daha fazla önem vermek gerekmektedir
