The BarentsPortal is a project implemented under the Joint Norwegian-Russian Commission on Environmental Protection. The Portal, which is a joint Norwegian - Russian instrument designed for the mutual exchange and presentation of information and environmental data relevant to the management of the Barents Sea, is intended to serve as the future tool for updating of the recently published Norwegian - Russian environmental status report published here, and for further cooperation on ecosystem-based management of the Barents Sea
