This paper examines the ways in which literature suspends the literal and metaphorical falls that occurred on 9/11. In particular, I apply this lens to three 9/11 novels: Paul Auster\u27s The Brooklyn Follies, Jonathan Safran Foer\u27s Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, and Mohsin Hamid\u27s The Reluctant Fundamentalist
