Romantic Relationships and Emerging Social Media Psychology 368.00 The purpose of this course is to educate students on romantic relationships in the digital age. Students will explore how social media, specifically virtual worlds, dating sites, social networking sites, instant messaging and texting impact romantic relationships. We will examine attraction, initiation, maintenance, conflict, and dissolution in the context of these emerging social media. Additionally, we will address the space of the Internet and how/why online romantic relationships manifest themselves in this space.
