My comps work focused on exploring the human response to crumbling identity structures and the subsequent attempts to reconstruct the fragments. Through photographic and sculptural processes, I used the decay of local ruins as a metaphor for my own personal struggle. For my photographs, I used 35 mm film, darkroom chemistry, cliché verre, and toning processes. For my sculptural piece, I worked with sanding, burning, toning, and mounting photos on weathered wood
