Can poetry reduce PTSD symptoms and depression in survivors of assault and in partner violence better than other forms of therapy? This paper explores literature on poetry therapy with survivors of assault as an effective therapy. The present literature provides little support that it would be effective when dealing with survivors of abuse, therefore, a proposed research design for studies concludes the literature review
