Transcript of interview with Dave Bivens, 08-10-2005

In his two interviews with Troy Reeves in August and October 2005, Dave Bivens discussed his time in the Idaho State Legislature. He served in the Senate from 1967 through 1974 and the House in 1993-1994. During his first interview, Bivens discussed his early days in the state Senate and the legislation he worked on, including PERSI [Public Employees Retirement System of Idaho], the WOI [Washington-Oregon-Idaho] Veterinary Medical Education Program, and the WWAMI [Washington-Wyoming-Alaska-Montana-Idaho] Medical Education Program. Other topics included the Idaho Cattle Association and the Farm Bureau of Idaho, which he helped promote in the Legislature.
