Abstract

In two interviews with Troy Reeves in January and March of 2006, Steve Scanlin remembered his experiences in the Idaho State Capitol. Scanlin served in the Idaho House of Representatives from 1977 to 1980. He spoke of the time period from the 1970s to 2006. During the second interview, Scanlin talked about his working as a lobbyist, in the governor’s office, and in the office of the Idaho Attorney General. He also spoke of his involvement in bringing governor Evans to speak after the Coeur d’Alene bombings. This interview was conducted for the Idaho State Capitol oral history project, a joint project of the Idaho State Historical Society, Idaho Capitol Commission, and Riverstone Community School
