This research investigates the relationship between the state economic outlook, state security apparatus and the presence of ethnic minority oppression within the state\u27s borders. Modern states have developed extensive security apparatuses as they have developed their economies and this research intended to identify the possibility of a connection between the development of these aspects of the state in relation to ethnic minority repression. The research is broken up into a research design and introductory section, a case study section, and a final analysis and conclusion section.
