An Inexpensive, Portable Data-Acquisition System

Recognizing the need for an inexpensive data acquisition system, it was decided to investigate the use of the Hewlett-Packard Interface-Loop concept. The equipment necessary to acquire, store, and display voltage/time measurements was purchased. This report discusses the integration, application, and operation of this equipment. It was found that such a system would perform satisfactorily under limited conditions but, as might be anticipated, was severely limited in frequency response. It is recommended that the system be upgraded to multi-channel capability
