Globalization is a multi-faceted process which consists of three dimensions: economic, political, and cultural. First, the causes and effects of globalization are explored. ·Then we look closer at the relationship between globalization and the nation-state. Inspired by Maslow\u27s hierarchy of needs, I have developed a model by which to understand this relationship. Similar to Maslow\u27s hierarchy, a country must fulfill the needs of each tier before moving up.
