The U.S. Navy\u27s training system is an extensive, complex system of interrelated and interacting components. This paper presents the results of several approaches to the problem of modeling this system and developing computer programs to simulate and analyze its operation. Two programs using special-purpose simulation languages, SLAM and GASP, are described briefly. The PMM inter-active system is described and analyzed in the greatest detail. Possible future utilization of this PMM system for experimentation and forecasting is also briefly discussed
