This study investigated the impact of divorce on the structure of the family unit, specifically on the relational satisfaction held by members of blended families. The research questions addressed attitudes regarding different family systems and relational satisfaction.The rationale for this research lie in finding ways to improve upon and perhaps create a new narrative of the what a family is in American culture.
