Abstract: This study was designed to investigate criminal offending and participation in inmate education programs. Specific relationships under study give rise to analyze patterns in learning effectiveness among different categories of offending. The purpose was to illuminate categories of criminal activities as they align with assessment measures among inmates who are involved in bettering their education behind bars. By studying these relationships, particularly as they associate with criminal classifications, the study targets under-educated individuals who are in need of tutorial services aimed at providing high-school level knowledge
