Sub-solidus relations in the system ZnFe_2O_4-ZnMn_2O_4 have been determined in the air atmosphere at temperatures between 1,000℃ and 1,200℃ using a quenching technique. A complete solid solution exists between both end-members at temperatures above 1,170℃. Below that temperature there is a miscibility gap whose width increases with decreasing temperature. The transition of ZnMn_2O_4 was studied with DTA and the structure of ZnMn_2O_4 was found to change from a tetragonaly deformed spinel to a spinel at 1,120℃ in the air atmosphere
