The exchange current density of graphite electrodes and molten Fe-Si electrodes in molten slags was measured by applying the alternating current method. The results obtained are as follows : (1) The current density of graphite electrodes in basic slags was about 100mA/cm^2 at 1500℃. But the results obtained in acid slags decreased gradually as their basicity decreased. (2) Apparent activation energy of the current density of graphite electrodes in basic slags varied between 30 and 40 Kcal/mol. (3) The current density of molten Fe-Si alloy electrodes varied between 10 and 24mA/cm^2 at 1500℃
