With a view to acquiring fundamental researches of the electrodeposition of manganese from a mixed solution of manganese sulfate and ammoniunm sulfate containing a small amount of sulfur dioxide as an addition agent, the present writeres investigated variables which affect the efficiencies of deposition of manganese, i. e., bath composition, current density, speed of agitation and bath temperature. The electrolytic cells, containing about 500 ml of electrolyte, divided three compartments with canvas bags. One copper cathode (4×5cm) and two lead-silver alloy anodes (3.7×4.7cm) were used for electrodes.
