In the Institute, a joint investigation of "Selective Sulphatization-Flotation Process" was carried out by way of a treatment of complex sulphide ores. The present paper is a part of the work concerning the degree of liberation of the ores. Eleven kinds of ores mentioned in Table 1 were crushed and sized particles were conglomerated with bakelite, polished and then observed under reflecting microscope to determine the degree of liberation. The results are shown in Tables 2 to 12 and Figs.1 to 11. As a whole, the most difficult ores to liberate were so-called "Black ore" type, the most easy ones were vein type and the ores of contact mentasomatic type were moderate.
