Titanife ous iron ore from the Rampei Mine in Manchuria and magnetic iron sand from the coast along Aomori Prefecture were tested by various concentration methods, viz., magnetic separation by Davis\u27 magnetic tube tester, tabling by Wilfley table and soap flotation. The representative results are as follows : The chemical analyses of the crushed, ground and deslimed sample, -100 mesh in size, of ore from the Rampei Mine were 41.63% Fe and 12.17% TiO_2 and those of the screened sample, -100+150 mesh in size, of iron sand from Aomori Prefecture were 19.69% Fe and 4.49% TiO_2.
