High-T_c superconductors have the potential to impact many frontier subjects. In Y- and Bi-system oxide superconductors, high field superconducting characteristics have been investigated from the aspect directed toward practical application. Irreversibility lines, transport current properties and the critical surfaces for Y-and Bi-system high-T_c superconducting films and wires are presented in high fields up to 30 T
