The density, electric resistance, magnetic properties and Young\u27s modulus of iron-aluminium alloys were measured and the relations of these properties to their respective concentrations were also investigated. The density, intensity of magnetization, initial permeability and Young\u27s modulus of iron decreased monotonously and the resistance increased almost linearly with the addition of aluminium to iron. The maximum permeability and magnetic residual induction increased at first and then decreased, while the magnetic hysteresis loss and coercive force changed inversely to those changes with the increase of aluminium content : The existence of superstructure (Fe_3Al) led the density to increase slightly, and the resistance and Young\u2...
