A Consideration of Public Health Nursing Education in University

We conducted an analysis of the executive process of the community health nursing practical training and the effects of the training for the students in fiscal year 2006, and we discussed the roles of the university faculty of the department of public health nursing in the community health nursing practical training. The expectation of public health nurse leaders for the university faculty is the commitment and collaboration with actual problem solutions and the improvement of the quality of the community health activity. The community health system and the community health nursing activity are intended to be changed drastically with the progress of the medical insurance system reform, which will start in fiscal year 2008. Therefore, it is shown that the expected roles of the university faculty are to direct the ideal way of the community health activity to improve public health level and the QOL level of citizens through collaborations with public health nurses
