Ruwatan is a form of ceremony in Javanese society that aims to free man from bad luck or the calamity that would befall him. The term "ruwatan" also appears in the discourse of church life amid the Javanese Christian Church (GKJ) as it is written in the Javanese Bible, the Christian Song of Song (the official book song of worship) and the liturgy. This article aimed to find the understanding of the citizens of the Javanese church about ruwatan and develop it in the concept of thinking and devoting of the people church about Jesus Christ is the Man of Ruwat.
