SV136 — Nelson Dionne Collection. View of the House of the Seven Gables after its 1908-1910 renovation. Published by the Keystone View Company. Photographed by Henry Peabody, 1926. Undertaken by philanthropist Caroline Emmerton, the 1908-10 renovation restored the original configuration of gables while also adding several inauthentic elements connected to the famous novel by Nathaniel Hawthorne. The house was at this point converted into the museum it is today.https://digitalcommons.salemstate.edu/stereoviews/1145/thumbnail.jp
