The work presented reflects about the teacher's professional development in Courses of Arts. The reflection is guided by the question: How the teacher's professional development is addressed in monographs dealing with this theme? For their achievement, from authors such as Denzin and Lincoln (2008), adopt descriptive methodology which describes and evaluates, through qualitative approach under, two monographs, defended in 2011 and 2010, produced by subject Institutional program graduates of scientific initiation scholarships (PIBIC), in the Full Degree Course in Arts, Humanities Center, Federal University of Campina Grande, PB.
