ヒンディー文学における「呪い」と「予言・夢」 ―叙事詩『ラーム チャリト マーナス』で16 世紀のトゥルスィーダースが詠い訴えようとしたこと― 共同研究〈諸文化圏・諸言語圏の呪い・穢れ・占い・迷信〉

Rām carit mānas or The Lake of Rama’s Deeds is a Rama Story sung by Tulsīdās of the 16th century in Hindi language. This Rama story is still sung and dramatized in North India on various occasions including the commemoration of Rama’s birth day.Rama was born as an incarnation of God Vishnu［I-201］. But responding to the wish of his mother, he also showed himself as a normal human baby［I-202］.In this paper, the portions including curses and prophecies/dreams are shown first, and then the roles they play in the work are examined.Curses are often removed by the mercy of Rama: Ahalya was cursed by her learned husband and changed into a stone, but when she touched the feet of merciful Rama, she regained the human form ［I-210］. Prophecies will bring the story ahead as expected: Trijata serving the demon Ravana told Sita in prison about the dream she saw, and Rama came to rescue her soon［V-11-1, V-12-1］. We observe here the dreams come true as the prophecies
