AIM OF THE STUDY: This study aims to analyse canal configuration of human maxillary permanent first premolar tooth by using cone beam computerised tomographic techniques in a south Indian population in an invitro setting. METHODS: Samples were divided into three groups namely Group I (GP) (n=255), GPII (n=326), and GPIII (n=8). GPII subdivided into subgroup A (cervical third division (n=17)), subgroup B (middle third division (n=152)) and subgroup C (apical third division (n=157).
