BACKGROUND: 90 cases of liver abscess were included in this study. Patients with classical clinical features were finalized after confirming the diagnosis by ultrasonogram. The treatment modalities were categorized based on number, size and location of liver abscess and also taking mode of presentation into consideration. This study comprises the analysis of age & sex distribution; variations in symptomatology; laboratory investigations and the outcome of various modes of treatment. Interpretations were compared with previous analytical studies.
