BACKGROUND AND AIM : Unrelated HSC donor registries in India require donor-pool expansion. Voluntary blood donors are suitable for motivation regarding unrelated HSC donation. The aim of the study was to assess the knowledge, attitude and behaviour (KAB) regarding hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) donation and unrelated HSC donor registry among voluntary blood donors in Chennai. MATERIALS AND METHODS : 422 voluntary blood donors over a period of one year (July 2015 - June 2016) were interviewed individually as per study questionnaire.
