AIM OF THE STUDY: 1. To compare the effectiveness of visual inspection with acetic acid/lugols iodine, pap smear and colposcopy for screening of cancer cervix. 2. To study the correlation between findings of VIA/VILI, PAP smear and colposcopy with histopathology. 3. To compare the sensitivity, specificity, diagnostic accuracy of VIA/VILI, PAP smear and colposcopy. This was a hospital based prospective study conducted on 100 patients at Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Government Theni Medical College and Hospital, Theni.
