A study to explore the factors related to treatment seeking delay among adults diagnosed with acute myocardial infarction at KMCH, Coimbatore. OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY: The Objectives were to: Assess the extent of delay for seeking treatment. Explore the factors contributing to treatment seeking delay. Compare factors contributing to treatment seeking delay among patients who had timely treatment and those who had delayed treatment. OPERATIONAL DEFINITIONS: Treatment Seeking Delay: Treatment Seeking Delay is defined as the time interval from the onset of symptom to the arrival at the hospital, which is more than 120 minutes.
