The presented study is an attempt to investigate the effect of petroleum ether extract of triumfetta rhomboidea on Streptozotocin induced diabetic in albino rats. The Phytochemical study was screening showed the presence of tannins, carbohydrate, Flavonoids, alkaloids, reducing sugar and amino acid which is responsible for the anti diabetic activity. The animals were induced with STZ at a dose of 55mg/kg intraperatoneal and the diabetic animals were treated with triumfetta rhomboidea extract (100, 200, 400mg/kg) for 21 days orally.
