INTRODUCTION: Pain is the unpleasant sensory stimulation, especially in children. It will shape their behavior in the future. The pain in children was underestimated and untreated in many clinical settings. The role of the nurses is very important role in managing the pain in children especially during the postoperative period. It helps the child to develop confidence, cooperation and to reduce the anxiety during hospital procedures. The family also needs to manage the child during the painful procedures.
