Arnold Godionton, Trophy Chairman, was Master of Ceremonies for the evening. It was "Frank Seward" night and in honor of the occasion, Del Jones comoosed and sang a song dedicated to Frank. Game 1 against Great Falls ended 7-4 for the U.S. team with Magrath goals scored by Kinn Wetherelt (3&1) Terry Anderson (l&l) with assists to Darren McNeely (1) Clayton Anderson (1) Cameron Anderson (1) and an assist to goalie Ken Rasmussen. Game 2 turned out better with Magrath de­feating Cardston UFA Devils 5-0. First game vs. Taber ended 4-2 for the hosting Magrath team. Third and "B” side Final ended 5-3 for Crowsnest Pass Flames with Magrath goals all scored by Terry Anderson with Kirn Wetherelt earning 2 assists. Ken Rasmussen, although he didn't get any assists in this tournament, was pretty impressive in goal. Duke suffering withdrawal symptoms already - hockey withdrawal that is ...devout hockey parents wondering what they will do on the weekends now that the season is all but over. THANK YOUMagrath Pee Wees defeated the R.C.M.P. hockey team by a close 9-7 score. Although the RCMP could have "put out" a little more, the boys gave them a pretty good challenge and created some exciting hockey for the handful of people who came out to see the game. We thank you for your support and hope that next year your neighbors and friends will cane out too. Only through corrmunity support will the arena ever get finished in­side. Bones are made of calcium. The calcium needed to make strong bones cannot be produced by your body. An infant's bones are soft like cartilage at birth. During the first year of life, their bones need calcium to become stronger. From the ages of one to ten, bone growth is slower. These children still require calcium for fur­ther bone growth and strength.' Teenagers have, a greater calcium need than either adults or children, due to their growth spurt. Dur­ing adulthood, bone strength and density con­tinues to about 40. Calcium is still needed as an adult. About 15 per cent of total bone mass is laid down during this time. Adults over 40 need calcium to help reduce bone loss. Preg­nant and nursing women need calcium to satisfy their own needs and that of the fetus and baby. In Canada, there is concern that many adults do not consume enough calcium. Pro­longed low-calcium intakes may be related to health problems such as: - Osteoporosis, a disease in which bones be­come so brittle and thin that they break easily. In Canada, one out of four women over 65 (over 350,000 women) suffer from osteopor­osis fractures. - Bone loss in the jaw which supports the teeth resulting in loss of teeth. - Hypertension in certain people. Milk and milk products are the primary sources of calcium. One cup of milk contains 307 mg of calcium. To receive the equivalent amount of calcium, you need to eat: can of salmon with bones; 1 cup of macaroni and cheese; 1 cup of almonds. 2 cups of baked beans. 6 slic­es of whole wheat bread. 18 medium scallops.
