He was born December 23rd, : Utah to Harriet and David H. Bingham. He came to Canada in 1903 at the age of 14 and marr­ied Hazel Valera Searle on May 19th, 1909 at Crassy Lake. He was predeceased by his wife and infant son in January of 1919 and by a daughter ' . . lma Farren in 1980; also by four brothers .-.nd four sisters. He is survived by three children Margaret (Earl) Dickson of Lovell, Wyoming; David .Ellen) Bingham of Cardston and Minnie Terry Magrath; also his youngest sister, Maysie ¿Stan) Toomer of Magrath. . ; Funeral Services will be held in the Magrath High School Auditorium at 2 Thursday, February 23rd with Bishop tevenson officiating. SQUIRTS HOCKEY NEWS NOTES Friday, Feb. 17th, Magrath Muggers had a fun evening playing hockey against the fathers (and two mothers). In the first game the Mugger? beat the Fathers’ team 9-8. Scoring for the Muggers were Marc Heggie (4) Kenny Wright (2) Randall Heggie and Ryan Marsden. ’’Fathers" scores were made by Don Dunlop, Neal Miller, Arnold Harris and Bob Wright each with 1, and Donna Warnock with 4 goals. Game 2 was divided Fathers & Sons together and the "Mawlers" beat the "Pussycats" 8-5. Scoring for the winning Mawlers were Jason Riplev (2) Trevor Dunlop (3) Gavin Warnock (1) Donna Warnock (2). Pussycats scores were made by Dustin Miller (2) Marc Heggie (2) and Kenny Wright (1). Penalties were given to Arnold Warnock, Don Dunlop, Arnold Harris, Donna Warnock and Marilyn Grusendorf. A reception honoring the couple later that evening was held at the Kolob Stake Centre in Springville which was decorated in a Valentine theme The wedding party greeted their guests standing in front of a heart shaped red and white chiffon back drop which was lit up elegantly. The mothers of the bride and groom, Sue Ann Ew? - and Frances Parkins, wore dresses of red; the best men Berry Gorham and Rick Parkins wore.black tuxedo the groom wore a white tuxedo; the bride wore her gown of long white silk overlayed with white chiffi and lace, accented with beaded pearls. She carriei a bouquet of red and white roses. The bridesmaids. Teres Salgy and Julie Steele, wore red dresses with white collars and black bow ties and held a single rose. The flower girls, Amy and Kimberly Ewing, wore white dresses with red bow ties and had halos of red and white roses. Refreshments were served along with the cutting of the wedding cake. The cake was three layered, hovered over a flowing fountain of red. It was topped with a blown glass Salt Lake Temple encircled with a heart, accented with red roses. There will be a Calling Reception for the happy couple on Saturday, February 25th at the Magrath High School from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. All friends and relatives are invited. PARENTS OF GRADE 1 & 2 GIRLS: I would like our girls to play Soccer on All-Girl teams this year to give them a better chance at the action. I think the Mixed teams discouraged some girls from registering last year. We have enough girls to make about 3 teams and they could play each other. Please come and register your girls for Soccer this year! REGISTRATION - for Soccer is March 7th from 6:30 to 8:30 in the Elementary School Library. Teams play­ing in the Lethbridge Leage (grades 3 & up) are limited to 16 players on a team, terefore the first 16 players registered in each age group will make up th*» t-oama. The girls practised their tracking lore, ate lunch Sy the frozen waterfall, learned to use portable cooking units and had a wonderful time. Rosalie Qrusendorf and Rachel Closson earned their Hiker's badges. The unit attended Guide/Scout services at the Magrath United Church and the Raymond Stake Centre on Sunday, February 19th. Wednesday, February 22nd they were tested for their World Trefoil Badges by our District Commissioner Betty Lynn Schwab at our Thinking Day Celebration. • •••«• • Rospi tcil March speaker The Garden City Senior Citizens' monthly Pot Luck Dinner for February will be held Friday, February 24th at 1 p.m. in the Lounge at the Drop In Center.
