The members enjoyed a roast beef supper. The program consisted of reports from Carrie Harris, Cathy Norton and Martha Jane Tomlinson on the 4H Exchange,trip to Ontario thatr they participated in, apdL?report . from Nathan and DaVid' Kearl on thè“ - 4H Camp at Cypress Hills that they attended. Trophies were presented to the winners from the Show and Sale that was held in Taber in June. Some of the members re­ceived prizes donated from the Alberta Woolgrowers Association. RE-ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING: The Magrath & District 4H Sheep Club is holding a Re-organization meeting, Thursday, December 13th at 7 p.m. at the Magrath Elementary School. Four games will be played Friday evening starting at 5 p.m. and seven games on Saturday commencing at 10 a.m. with the Championship game slated for 8:30 p.m. Eight of the top teams from Southern Alberta will participate'including last year's champ­ions, the ‘ .. * ’ “ ' ' this year Churchill Warriors, Cougars and the host, Magrath Zeniths. They and their families met at the Fish Pond Satur­day morning and hiked along Pot Hole Creek to the Spillgates. Various winter habitats were explained to the group by Dick Larsen and Garth Veale. Other interesting items the children noted while hiking were: rub marks the trees where deer sharpen their antlers, tracks, beaver dams, a very large ant hill, homes, birds, various berries and shrubs, sampled the Rose Bush berries along the way. The hike concluded back at the Fish Pond where everyone enjoyed a picnic lunch.
