A News article says that teenagers by failure to blab on companions for wrong doing is the cause of most of today’s juvenile delinquency. The hog bam at Cyrstal Spring caught fire and 150 pigs were lost in the blaze. Estimated loss $10,000.00 ’ A truck load of hogs bound for Lethbridge left less than an hour before. We did some quizzing of members as to how the fire started or if they had any nu»~ picions but no response. No one had an idea ss to what started it ?? The women carried out several litters of new bom pigs in their aprons. Hutterville’s pasture joins our own. At a distance we could see a cow that was suffering and in distress. OSO«« At the hospital Walter Brown was being paraded up and down the corridor between two pretty young nurses. Walter will miss that service when he gets home. The bellowing and bawling of cows for their young comes with the West winds from the feed lot of Ted Hocking West of town. It’s weaning time. LIFE IS LIKE THAT The World Series is over. It was Magrath Night at Ridgeview Lodge, Raymond, Sunday October 14th when over one hundred friends and relatives called to honor Mr. C. V, Harris on the occasion of his 94th birthdayo Charlie is steadily regaining health and strength since his illness and he sang the songs he used to sing to prove it. Two other entertainers recalling good times in Magrath were Arthur Critchfield and Bobby Wright, A,B,C, refused a third re­quest "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" and we heard someone say they missed the step-dance Bobby always used to give after his song "He Never Smiled Again", After all Bobby is in his 98th year and he can still sing a good tune. Other friends and relatives contrib— ut.ei to an enjoyable evening ending for Charlie at 10 P.M* Magrath callers enjoyed visit­ing with all those at the Lodge and especially Magrathites who are now residing there. They are Mrs. Trixie Harker, Mrs. Minnie Dow, Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Naylor and Mrs. teldrum. Mrs, Arndt is ill in the hospital. .................. C.N.I.B. BLITZ MONDAY NIGHT, NOTICE: A Civil Defence Fire-fighting Course will be offered in Ifegrath for the week of October 22 to 26 in four evenings with one afternoon session. Inspectors A. Johnson and F. Wood will conduct this training. Fire Chief Syl Rarick from the Magrath Fire Brigade and I hope to have a number of people take the course for the Rural area around Magrath as well as a number from each of Welling, Del Bonita and Spring Coulee. In the event of a fire in the Eastern part of Cardston M.D0 #6 these trained fire-fighters can then give valuable assistance to the Fire Chief at the place of fire. A number of people Will be contacted to register for this course. If there are some whom we didn’t contact, who desire to take the course, please contact S. Rarick of V. E. Bohnet for registration.
