Families and friends of the persons receiving Meals On Wheels have been contacted to continue to administer the program. New Spring & Sumner Thongs are Styles for Women & 135 The Magrath Hospital in its first 9 months of operation in our new hospital reports the follow­ing statistics: Adult/Child Admissions - 750, Newborns - 59, Total of 809. Patient Days (days stay in hospital) Adult/Child - 4,275; Newborn - 289 for a total of 4,564. Out Patient Visits - 3,834. Surgical Suite Visits - 258. Mr. Skretting, Hospital Administrator, stated that our precent occupancy is 62.59%, down from 63.47% last year. This decrease is largely due to a decrease in the month of April, 1985 when we re­duced admissions in order to move to the New Hospital. The Hospital is presently preparing for their Internal Disaster Exercise to be held in the Spring of 1986. In addition, the Board has given approval to prepare for our Accreditation Survey in 1986. A new Accreditation Guideline has been received and much more emphasis is placed on Quality Assurance or ensuring that we are aproviding the best quality care we can give within our budgeted funding. , CHINOOK HEALTH'UNIT NEWS A Babsitting Course will be run again this year starting on April 15, 1986 from 3:45 to 5:00 and will run consecutively for 5 weeks. Speakers for the evening were Mayor Alan Dudley who brought greetings from the Town of Magrath and John Thompson, M.L.A. who spoke on behalf of the Government of Alberta, Duane Radford, Fish & Wild Life Regional ’ representative was guest speaker which he delivered with a slide presentation. FOODHANDLERS COURSE~SLATED FOR MAGRATH AREA Foodhandlers Course will be conducted by the Chinook Health Unit Health Inspection Branch on April 7 & 14 at the Chinook Health Unit in Magrath beginning at 7 p.m. each evening and both evenings must be attended to complete the course. The course is open to all public foodhandling personnel, ladies of catering groups, housewives or anyone int­erested in food microbiology.
