NMgrath's New Year’s baby arrived at the Magrath Hospital Tuesday morning, Jan­uary 17th when a baby daughter was bom to Mr. and Mrs. David P. Hofer of Rockport Colony. The baby weighed 7 lb. 13 1/8 ®z. This week's recipe is Pizza Pie - a favorite with the Young People, PIZZA, PIE T-r--u--s-t- 2n cups flour 4 teaspoons baking powder g teaspoon salt 5 tablespoons shortening 2/3 cup milk. Roll out and put on cookie sheet. Put 1 can of tomato soup on top of pie cr-'L-Filling: Mix together lg pounds hamburger or sausage, g teaspoon salt, 3 tablespoons ketchup, pepper flakes, onion salt or onion flakes, 3 dashes of Worchestshire sauce, Italian seasoning (sprinkle strong) 1 cup (cr more) grated Cheddar cheese. BASKETBALL HOME AND SCHOOL NOTES Magrath Zeniths travelled to Medicine Hat during the weekend to participate in the second annual Invitational Tournament» Friday night the Magrath Zeniths met the Medicine Hat Drifters,, Zenith’s topped the Drifters by a score of 54-26« Top scor­er for Ifegrath was Bryan Sheer with 16 . points. ’ In Saturday afternoon's semi-final game Zeniths defeated Erwin of Swift Current, Saskatchewan 45—22, Bryan Meldrum made 14 points and Rick Neilson made 10, In the final game of the tournament Nkgrath Zeniths conquered Medicine Hat Mo­hawks, overpowering them 47-29, Zenith’s top men were Bryan Sheer and Greg Anderson with 15 and 12 points respectively, Bryan Meldrum accepted the basketball trophy and Janice Rice accepted first place cheerleading trophy presented to the Magrath Cheerleaders for their fine performances.
